We are pleased to announce that the North Riding flag will be unfurled for the first time at The Strathmore Arms, Holwick on Saturday 4 May at 11.45. As the Northernmost pub in the North Riding and Yorkshire this is the ideal location to unfurl the North Riding flag.
Everyone is welcome to attend the unfurling. If the weather is suitable, after a light lunch, the flag will be walked to Tyke’s Way, the Northernmost point of the North Riding and Yorkshire. Everyone is welcome to join the walk which is approximately 3 km each way.
North Riding Flags
The first North Riding flag will be ordered on Friday. After the unfurling we will provide contact details of the flag manufacturer for those who would like to purchase a hand-made flag.
Once the flag appears on the UK Flag Registry flag manufacturers will stock printed flags. These are expected to be available in around two months, they will cost approximately £5 to £7. Once flag manufacturers have the flags in stock information will be added to the North Riding Flag page.
West Riding Flag Vote
There is still time to vote for the West Riding flag.
